Varano and Casey Loundy A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF BERKELEY DECLARING THAT THE TOWNSHIP OF BERKELEY IS A MILITARY
FRIENDLY TOWN AND THAT THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL FULLY SUPPORT THOSE THAT SERVE IN
THE ARMED FORCES AND THAT THE TOWNSHIP OF BERKELEY DOES ENCOURAGE ALL ITS
BUSINESS PERSONS TO OFFER DISCOUNTS TO THOSE WHO SERVE IN THE MILITARY AND FOR
OUR RESIDENTS AND BUSINESS PERSONS TO GREET AND TREAT THEM KINDLY AS A SIGN OF
GRATITUDE FOR THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE TO PROTECT OUR FREEDOM AND SAFETY.
December 8, 2009 WHEREAS, the men and
women who serve in our military forces have dedicated their lives to protect
our country, our freedoms and our safety; and WHEREAS, those currently
serving in the military could be assigned a tour of duty in WHEREAS, the Mayor and
Council of the Township of Berkeley wish to formally go on record as declaring
the Township of Berkeley as a military friendly town; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and
Council wish to show their support for those who serve our country and protect
our freedom and safety and further wish to encourage our business persons to
offer discounts to military personnel and urge our residents and business
persons to roll out the red carpet for our military men and women, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Berkeley, County of
Ocean, State of New Jersey, that the Mayor and Council do formally declare that
the Township of Berkeley is a military friendly town. The RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council do urge all business persons in the RESOLVED that the Mayor and
Council urge all residents and business persons to extend the red carpet to our
military service men and women by extending a friendly and warm greeting to
them and to show our gratitude by extending every courtesy to them; and be it
further RESOLVED that certified
copies of the within Resolution be forwarded by the Township Clerk to the
