RESOLUTION
2009-93 RESOLUTION OF THE
BOROUGH OF BAY HEAD, COUNTY OF OCEAN, STATE OF WHEREAS, the men and women who serve in
our military forces have dedicated their lives to protecting our country; and WHEREAS, those presently serving in the
armed forces routinely place their lives in danger to protect our freedom and
to ensure our safety; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Bay Head
seek to formally designate the Borough as “military friendly;” and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Borough Council
of the Borough of Bay Head wish to show their support for those that serve our
country and protect our freedoms, and further wish to encourage our local
businesses to offer military discounts to those serving in the armed forces;
and WHEREAS, recognizing the sacrifices
made by the members of our armed forces, the Bay Head Improvement Association
already provides free beach badges to active military members, their spouses,
and eligible children; and WHEREAS, all residents and businesses
are encouraged to support our military personnel. 1. The Mayor and Borough Council formally
declare Bay Head as “military friendly.”
The Borough of Bay Head declares its support of our military personnel
and acknowledges the efforts and sacrifices our servicemen and servicewomen
make each day to protect our freedoms and to ensure our safety. 2. The Mayor and Borough Council urge all
local businesses to offer military discounts to members currently serving in
the military. 3. The Mayor and Borough Council applauds
the Bay Head Improvement Association for its recognition of the sacrifices made
by military personnel. 4. The Mayor and
Borough Council urge all residents and businesses to express their gratitude to
these outstanding citizens, friends, and family members by extending every and
all courtesies. CERTIFICATION I,
